Ulla Greve – owner be kind to your mind

„I became a therapist because in this performance-oriented society we live in there are simply not enough rooms where one can just come in, breathe, be, and experience unconditional acceptance at the same time.“

I’ve worked in the publishing industry for over 20 years – mainly in creative, leadership and managing positions. But I no longer wanted to just hold a picture about a person or an issue and write about it – I wanted to support the people. Especially in their troubled times, sorrows and/or emerging crises and help them understand themselves and their situation better, learn how to cope with their struggles and grow through them, teach them how to heal their sadness.
Because it’s mostly the turbulent, worrying times in which we withdraw and don’t reach out for help. It’s when we feel most lonely with all our experiences, injuries and daily lives while longing for security and acceptance – but unfortunately feel ashamed about what we are going through the same time.

Leaving my professional reorientation and with it my established career behind me and facing new challenges took a lot of courage. But the daily work with my clients shows me how important it is to break the silence and seek help in times of emotional distress and crisis.

An open conversation about fears and worries is a crucial step towards inner healing – and I am here to support you on this journey.

That’s why I became a therapist:
To help you help yourself and learn to be kind to your mind.

I’m a certified psychological and mental health practitioner focussing on integrative trauma therapy and mental health coaching. In my therapeutic framework I concentrate on a talk, systemic and in-depth approach while combining my work with the trauma tool EMDR and Gestalt elements – always individually and according to my patients emerging needs and desired therapy goals.

EMDR - The focus of treatment with EMDR is mainly on traumatic experiences as well as stressful and challenging life situations. Through specific instructions and eye movements, the formative experiences and shadow themes can be broken up and reprocessed in the brain - and can thus be reduced in intensity and finally bring about the desired, emotional clarification and processing.

„The antidote to loneliness is not randomly hanging out with people. The antidote to loneliness is the comfort of a loving and safe place.“

– Benedict Wells
